About Us
Bob Hampton, CPA, brings over a quarter century of diverse experience to provide a unique perspective to the financial planning needs of individuals and small and medium-sized owner-managed businesses. In Bob's professional career, he has worked with hundreds of individuals and dozens of business clients ranging from some of the largest financial services companies in the United States to small businesses that are literally a few weeks old. This range of experience allows him to approach business situations from a different angle. As a business owner, he has firsthand experience with the problems that small businesses face. By dealing with some of the same problems that his clients face, he is able to relate to their concerns. Yet he doesn’t lose sight of the big picture.
In addition to being a certified public accountant, Bob Hampton is a chartered life underwriter, and a chartered financial consultant. However, as important as professional designations are, they don’t tell the whole story. Bob prides himself as a good listener, with a sense of humor, who is able to translate complex tax, accounting, and investment subjects into plain English. On more than one occasion, clients and prospective clients have remarked that he is a member of that rare breed: an accountant with personality.
A published author, Bob Hampton has contributed to books that address issues such as restaurant and bar management, business valuation, small business consulting, and accounting practice management. He has also been quoted on a number of occasions in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Tarrant Business section. Bob received his bachelor’s degree at Texas Christian University and an MBA at North Texas State University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Field Artillery School, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves for eight years, attaining the rank of Captain. Bob is currently treasurer of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Worth, and serves on the board of directors of the Day Resource Center for the Homeless. He also serves as one of the City of Fort Worth's representatives to the Area Metopolitan Ambulance Authority. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Western Fort Worth, Reveille Toastmasters, and several state and national professional organizations.
Bob Hampton has been married to his wife Lisa for twenty-five years, and they are the proud parents of Kanga, a very spoiled greyhound.
